The South Dakota Department of Transportation (SDDOT), in cooperation with the City of Deadwood is undertaking the development of a pedestrian plan for the City of Deadwood.  The purpose of this planning effort is to improve pedestrian access, circulation, and accommodations within the City of Deadwood.

The Purpose of this Website

This website has been created for the purposes of communicating important project information about the development of the City of Deadwood Pedestrian Plan.  As the planning effort moves forward pertinent project information will be added to the site.

Upcoming Events/Project Status

The first public meeting for the project was held Tuesday, April 22, 2008.  A copy of the presentation is available under Project Downloads.

Over the next three months the consultant team will be inventorying and collecting various data within the study area.
